This is my sixteenth original Christmas poem and thirteenth original artwork (an eArt Scan)
for my annual Christmas cards. I hope you enjoy this year's Christmas card.

Hello Friends,

Here is my 2011 Christmas Card put online in the Christmas Section. I wish everyone, receiving my greetings, well during this Holiday Season, regardless of your own religious beliefs or lack thereto. This is America where every citizen still has the right in this Country, to choose their faith or none.

However, Christmas was the birth of Christ and that is why we call December 25 Christmas, not just a holiday (remember holiday means Holy Day). Best wishes for the enjoyment of Christmas and wishing you and yours a Happy and prosperous New Year, personally and for our Country.

For Christmas 2011

For Christmas 2011 to all who love Christmas

Your life seems full, of troubles and woes,
No Yeses to your questions, only Nos!
Your job seems harder, day by day,
the work seems to grow, but not the pay.

You may question, as the year wears on,
why no melody, why no song?
Why do you seem to just grind away,
without purpose, life in disarray.

Then comes that magic time of the year,
when everyone seems to be full of cheer.
In this bleakest of a season,
happiness prevails for special reason.

The miracle of the Savior's birth,
brings joy to, this tired old Earth.
For our sins, He was born to die,
He asked we accept Him, to qualify.

Yes, the Christmas season does renew,
every believer, like me and you.
It lifts our lives, in a special way
that comes from this, very special day.

Now go forth, with new vigor this year,
bringing to others this season's cheer.
Christmas is a living thing to do,
Making each day important for us anew.

The desire of the righteous ends only in good, but the hope of the wicked only in wrath. One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:23-25

Now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders. But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Christ would suffer. Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you--even Jesus. He must remain in heaven until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets. Acts 3:17-21

I Corinthians 16:18 Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. I Corinthians 16:13-14 For they have refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men.

All appears to change, when we change. Henri Amiel (1821-1881) Journal.

The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do it. Apple Computer, Inc. ad. CNN 15 December 1997.

With this poem and drawing, I extend my thanks to my family and friends my wishes for a blessed Christmas and a happy, prosperous and spiritually rewarding 2011.

I also extend my thanks and appreciation to my fellow attorneys, whether worthy adversaries or simply acquaintances; to the patient Judges who spend so much time and energy administering justice fairly and impartially in our Courts, along with their dedicated staffs of clerks, coordinators, court reporters, bailiffs, staff attorneys and other staff; to my many rockhound friends, with whom I learn a great deal about this old World of ours by digging in the Earth; to my friends in Church who have for years shown their generosity and dedication to serving Christ; to my friends in politics, in both parties and outside a party, who labor to carry on our wonderful democracy in the greatest land on Earth; and especially to those in our Military and who protect us as police and fire personnel, from harm while putting themselves in danger and possible death to do so; to my email friends who provide me with wonderful things on the internet and friendships I treasure.
